FAIRFIELD — A man found asleep behind the wheel on his car early Tuesday morning was charged with driving under the influence.

Christopher Falcioni, 52, of Kathy Drive in Seymour, was discovered by campus security at Fairfield University around 2 a.m. at the school’s Barlow Road gate. When they woke Falcioni up, they said his foot came off the car’s brake and the car rolled into the gate. The gate was not damaged.

Fairfield police were called and Falcioni failed field sobriety tests. He was released on a $100 bond and turned over to his son ahead of a Feb. 7 court date.
