A man charged with breach of peace after a fight Tuesday in front of the Fairfield YMCA told police that because the dispute was with his brother, it was permissible.

Nicholas Jones, 23, of Kings Highway East, "engaged in fighting and tumultuous behavior" while having a loud argument that included shoving and kicking his 19-year-old brother, police said. The argument, over a cell phone and iPod, had started on the sidewalk in front of Old Town Hall and continued as the two proceeded down the Old Post Road.

The elder Jones also told officers that people in town should mind their own business, according to the report.

He was released on a promise to have appeared Wednesday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
