Jerry Perry, 50, of Redfield Road, called police early Monday to report that his girlfriend would not leave his house as he requested.

Instead, Perry found himself under arrest for violating a protective order.

Perry and his girlfriend, who had been in court the previous week to ask that conditions of a protective order be lifted, began to argue Monday and Perry wanted her to leave, according to police. When officers arrived at the house, they checked and found that the protective order was still in effect, which barred Perry from having contact the woman. He was taken into custody.

Bond was set at $500 and he was scheduled to have appeared Tuesday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
