Allen J. Liptak, 38, of Vesper Street, was charged Saturday with violating a protective order and disorderly conduct.
Police went to Liptak's home after his ex-wife called to say Liptak pushed her and threw her belongings on the floor when she went to the house to collect them.
She said after she called 911, Liptak grabbed her by the shoulder and threw her onto the bed. Before police arrived, she said, Liptak put everything back in order, according to the report. Police said she had a small bruise and red mark on her arm.
Liptak told police he was helping her move and was putting her belongings in his car so he could take them to her new apartment, according to the report.
There was a protective order in place, stemming from a December 2013 arrest when Liptak allegedly pushed, punched and slapped the victim and prevented her from leaving, police said. At that time, she had visible injuries to her face, police said.
According to judicial records, the December case in which Liptak was charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct, second-degree unlawful restraint and interfering with an officer, is still awaiting disposition.
