Sylvain J. Blanchard, 53, of Brookridge Avenue, faces charges after an argument with a relative Thursday night.
Blanchard came home around 10:30 p.m. and began yelling at the relative, and grabbed her by the face and pushed her down onto the stairs, injuring her back, according to the report. When she tried to call 911, the report states, Blanchard threw the phone on the ground and pushed her down a second time. She ran upstairs and stayed there until officers arrived.
At headquarters, Blanchard refused to be fingerprinted and was acting "aggressive," police said. He was charged with disorderly conduct and refusal to be fingerprinted.
Bond was set at $5,000 and Blanchard was scheduled to have appeared Friday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
