John Bambus, 37, of Stephens Lane, was arrested Saturday afternoon after he allegedly injured and threatened to kill a relative.

Police said he left the house after the dispute, and the victim called police. They said victim had visible injuries, and two young children were home during the incident, though they did not witness the fight, according to the report.

After police called him on his cell phone, Bambus returned to the home. He initially denied touching the victim, police said.

Bambus was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and second-degree threatening. He was held on a $2,500 bond and was scheduled to have appeared Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
