UPDATE: According to the state's attorney the case against Gianni L. Dimegio was dismissed.
A Trillium Circle man was charged Monday on a warrant with driving under the influence and failure to drive right.
Gianni L. Dimeglio, 34, turned himself in at police headquarters and was released on a $100 bond. The arrest stems from a three-car accident June 25 on Black Rock Turnpike. According to police, Dimegilo was driving south on Black Rock Turnpike around 7:45 p.m. that day when he drifted into the northbound lane, striking two cars.
Dimeglio failed field sobriety tests, police said, but complained of a headache and said he was shaken up by the accident. As a result, he was taken to an area hospital.
Dimeglio is scheduled to appear Aug. 19 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
