An Old Stratfield Road man, in court Wednesday for violating a protective order, was served with a warrant charging him with first-degree strangulation.
Blake Warner, 30, was also charged with disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment and risk of injury to a minor, all stemming from a Dec. 9, 2013, incident, police said.
At that time, Warner's wife told police he put both hands around her neck and squeezed until she lost consciousness. His bond was set at $100,000 and he was issued a GPS bracelet.
Warner had initially come to Bridgeport Superior Court to answer charges that he violated a protective order when he allegedly stayed at the home while his wife was away, according to the report.
