Andrezej Zaluska, 53, of New Hyde Park, N.Y., turned himself on a warrant last Friday, charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane.

The arrest stems from a one-car accident June 8 around 8 p.m. when Zaluska lost control of his car and drove off the road on Congress Street, striking two trees, police said. He was taken to Bridgeport Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries following the accident.

Zaluska was released after posting a $100 bond. He is scheduled to appear Aug. 25 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
