Man charged with DUI on Mill Plain Road

John Quinn, 70, of Pine Creek Avenue, was charged with driving under the influence Saturday evening.

Police said a passerby called to report a black Mercedes swerving across the road while headed south on Mill Plain Road. The car was located by an officer on South Pine Creek Road, where he observed the car drive over the double-yellow traffic line.

Quinn failed field sobriety tests, police said, and was released on a $200 bond. He is scheduled to appear Feb. 19 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
