Blake Moskowitz, 22, of Roslyn Harbor, N.Y., was charged with third-degree assault and second-degree breach of peace just after midnight Friday morning.

According to the report, Moskowitz had been playing pool at Bill's Crossroads bar on Tunxis Hill Road when he and another man went outside to have a cigarette.

Outside, they apparently got into an argument with a third man over a woman, and Moskowitz punched the man in the face, police said. The victim fell to the ground, unconscious. Moskowitz and the other man ran back into the bar and said they knocked out a man and were leaving, police said.

On Alberta Street, offiers located the pickup truck the pair drove from the bar, and the driver said he'd dropped Moskowitz off on Merritt Street, where police picked him up.

He was released on a written promise to appear Jan. 18 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
