Matthew Robinson-Wald, 28, of Old Town Road, Trumbull, was arrested on a warrant Saturday in connection with an alleged assault on his pregnant girlfriend last December.
The girlfriend, four months pregnant at the time of the Dec. 2 incident, called police to report the fight, which she said began when she picked him up at the Fairfield Metro train station and confronted him about other women she claimed he had relations with.
She told police Robinson-Wald grabbed her by the arm, leaving bruises. Robinson-Wald denied the dispute was physical, and accused the woman of coming after him with a knife that he said he grabbed from her and threw in a pile of leaves at the side of the road
He was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault on a pregnant woman.
Robinson-Wald turned himself in at police headquarters after learning a warrant for his arrest was issued.
He was held on a $5,000 bond and scheduled to appear Monday at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
