Police seized guns and rifles from the High Street home of Gilbert Haight last month, and on Monday charged him on a warrant for criminal possession of a firearm.
The search-and-seizure warrant executed at Haight's home on July 24 stemmed a from an investigation into a threat he made against a neighbor, according to the report. Haight allegedly said if the neighbor came near him, "He's going to have a bunch of holes in him."
Inside Haight's home, police said they found a .25-caliber Berretta, three BB rifles and a .38-caliber Charter Arms revolver. Police also seized several boxes of ammunition.
Police said Haight has a criminal history dating back to 1990, and is not allowed to own a gun because he is a convicted felon.
Haight was released on a promise to appear Sept. 10 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
