A 25-year-old Bridgeport man was arrested on drug charges last Saturday after officers observed what they called a suspicious transaction between him and a juvenile behind the Fairfield Motor Inn on the Post Road.
Benny Garcia, of St. Stephens Road in Bridgeport, was charged with possession of marijuana and illegal sale of marijuana. He was held in lieu of $1,000 bond and was scheduled to appear Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court, police said.
Police said Garcia also was cited for operating a vehicle with tinted windows and no DMV sticker for tinted windows.
Garcia allegedly admitted to selling marijuana to the juvenile, police said.
Police said Garcia was stopped by officers on the Post Road at the Fairfield-Bridgeport border and that marijuana was found in the center console of his car. Officers also found $600 in cash, police said.
