Barry Hammons, 61, of Sunset Circle, has several times violated a protective order, harassing and intimidating a woman in town, police said.

Hammons was arrested on a warrant last Friday and charged with second-degree harassment and violation of a protective order because of a series of violations of the protective order that requires him to stay at least 2,500 feet away from the woman and that he have no contact with her. He allegedly made phone calls threatening the woman.

When Hammons was served with the warrant, he was also charged in connection with an incident last Wednesday at the Fairfield Ludlowe High School graduation. He left a note on the victim's car, police said. In connection with that incident, Hammons was charged with intimidating a witness, threatening and violation of a protective order.

Hammons was held on bonds totaling $200,000 and was scheduled to appear Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
