An Easton man has been stalking his ex-wife, and going through her mail, police said.
David W. Gorman, 55, of Sport Hill Road in Easton, was arrested on a warrant Thursday and charged with first-degree criminal trespass and second-degree stalking. He was held on a $25,000 and was scheduled to have appeared Friday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
According to the report, Gorman's ex-wife, who lives in Fairfield, called police in August to report that Gorman had been coming to her home uninvited, rifling through her mail, and had entered the backyard to observe what is going on in the house.
She said he would often park across the street and watch the house, and tried to make contact with people she knows in order to learn information about her, according to the report.
Police said Gorman had twice been warned to stay away from his ex-wife. The couple has been divorced since 2011.
In an interview with police, Gorman allegedly admitted that he knew he was not supposed to go near his ex-wife's house, according to the report.
