Joshua Richards, 19, of Linley Street, Bridgeport, was spotted breaking into a car on Lewis Drive around midnight on Sunday, police said

After the witness called police, officers located Richards and said they found he had several GPS units and assorted cash and change taken from one of the two different cars he broke into in Fairfield. The GPS unit was taken from the car on Lewis Drive and the other from a car on Hughes Avenue in Bridgeport.

He was charged with two counts each of third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny and held on a $500 bond. Richards is scheduled to appear Sept. 13 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
