A Stratford man has been charged in connection with a string of Fairfield residential burglaries back in December.

Douglas G. Fast, 47, of Everett Street, was charged with four counts of third-degree burglary and one count each of first, second, third and fourth-degree larceny.

Fast was arrested Friday at Bridgeport Superior Court and held on bonds totaling $45,000.

According to police the first burglary was reported Dec. 15 by a Dorking Drive resident. The back door of the home was broken and the house ransacked. Cash and jewelry were reported taken.

He is also charged with burglaries at homes on Farist Road, Barryscott Drive and Roseville Terrace.

Police said the crimes all had similarities and a green Ford Taurus was seen at each location. Working with police in Seymour and Orange, investigators identified Fast as the suspect in the Fairfield break-ins.
