Charles Bradley, 54, of Whittier Street, Bridgeport, was arrested Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court on a warrant in connection wiht a stolen $700 check.

The check had been left by an Old Post Road resident as payment to a fence company last July 19. The check had been taped on the front door, but the check was gone before a fence company worker could retrieve it.

An investigation revealed the check had been deposited in a Chase Bank account, police said, and Bradley was seen on video surveillance making withdrawals from that account.

He was charged with fifth-degree larceny, third-degree identity theft, criminal impersonation and second-degree forgery. His bond was set at $5,000 and he was arraigned later Monday.
