A former Fairfield resident was arrested last Friday at state Superior Court in Bridgeport and charged with stealing from a neighbor.

Dean Loconte, 27, of Grand Street in Bridgeport, was charged with fifth-degree larceny after police said he took jewelry, shoes and accessories from a Kings Highway East apartment sometime last May.

The apartment's resident discovered items missing from her first-floor unit, and told police the only visitor had been an upstairs neighbor wearing ankle monitoring bracelet at the time. There were no signs of forced entry, according to the report.

However, some of the missing items were later discovered being sold on-line by Loconte's girlfriend, police said.
