A 34-year-old man was arrested Thursday afternoon after a neighbor spotted him in his car near his grandmother's house on High Street, where police said he had been banned.

Andrew Hernandez of Alcott Street in Ansonia had been warned a day earlier that he was not allowed at the grandmother's home, according to police. Hernandez admitted that he knew he was not supposed to be at the property, according to the report.

He was charged with first-degree criminal trespass and is scheduled to appear Aug. 26 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
