Liudmil Petrov, 45, of Ann Street, surrendered to police Thursday for violating a protective order.
He had disobeyed the order, issued in October, on a weekly basis by visiting his ex-girlfriend, a Tunxis Hill Road resident, police said. On one occasion he followed her and threatened her, inciting fear, according to Sgt. Suzanne Lussier, a Fairfield police spokeswoman.
Bond was set at $25,000 and Petrov, who police said fathered a child with his ex-girlfriend, was scheduled to appear March 25 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
