An elderly man was approached Saturday night by another man in the parking lot at Dogwood Green Condominiums off Fairfield Woods Road who told him to turn over his wallet.

The elderly man told police that he noticed a dark-colored sedan on the side of the road as he parked his car in the condos' lot. When he opened his car door, a man about 5 feet, 7 inches tall wearing a black hooded sweatshirt approached and demanded the man's wallet after saying that he had a weapon.

The victim at first thought it might be a joke, but the assailant, who produced no weapon, repeated his demand to hand over the wallet.

A shoving match ensued, but the man did not give up the wallet. The attacker then got back into the car, which had another occupant, and headed south on Stratfield Road.
