A Beaconview Drive man was charged Monday night with driving under the influence.
Ralph R. Farrarese, 38, was also charged with traveling unreasonably fast and failure to drive right.
An officer on patrol saw Farrarese make a sharp right turn onto Black Rock Turnpike from Burroughs Road, without coming to a complete stop first, according to the report. Farrarese was clocked at 50 mph in a posted 35 mph zone, and at one point, drifted over the double-yellow traffic line.
Farrares failed field sobriety tests, police said, and while being booked, refused to sign any forms or follow directives from officers.
Bond was set at $100 and he was scheduled to have appeared Tuesday at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
