A 45-year-old Fairfield man, arrested last week after a dispute with his mother, was arrested again Saturday for violating a protective order issued in the case.
Christopher A. Burr, of Overlook Avenue, violated the protective order that had been issued the preceding Wednesday to protect his mother after he was charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an emergency call, police said.
Burr's mother brought him to her home to collect his personal belongings, but he refused to leave, police said. Police said Burr's mother was not aware at that time that a protective order had been issued, but Burr knew he was not supposed to be at the house.
After he refused to leave, Burr's mother called police, and when officers arrived, they found Burr asleep in the basement and arrested him about 6 p.m., according to the report.
Burr was held in lieu of $5,000 bond pending a Monday appearance in Bridgeport Superior Court.
