A man on a scooter was hit by a car Saturday evening while he was stopped at a red traffic light on Grasmere Avenue, waiting to turn left onto Kings Highway.
The man was not injured, but the driver who hit him -- Bryan Satmary, 25, of Catherine Street, Stratford -- was charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive right, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to insure.
Satmary, who said he had a few drinks at Chubby's, on Fairfield Avenue in Bridgeport, was driving down Grasmere toward Home Depot when he crossed over the double-yellow traffic line and hit the scooter.
The driver of the scooter, Juan Marin, 36, of Poplar Street, Bridgeport, was also issued an infraction for not having a valid license.
