FAIRFIELD — Police are looking for a man, all dressed in black, who robbed a U-Haul employee at gunpoint and attempted to pistol whip him Saturday night.

The robbery happened just before 8 p.m. outside the Bank of America branch at 1320 Kings Highway, while the victim was making a night deposit. The victim said he was near the ATM when the suspect approached him from behind and tried to hit him in the face with a pistol.

During the struggle, the victim lost his grip on the deposit bag and suspect ran off with it, climbing over a fence to get away. The victim was not injured and called 911.

A police K-9 track was unsuccessful.

The suspect was described as a tall man, wearing all black and a black ski mask.
