A man walking from the downtown train station to the Fairfield University campus Thursday night said he was robbed.

The victim told police he was walking from the station about 9 p.m. and, when he reached Barlow Road, he heard a noise behind him. He said a man grabbed his black Nike bag out of his hand and fled.

The suspect is described as white, about 6 feet tall in his 20s, with long hair. He was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and green army shorts.

The man's Nike bag contained a $70 pair of shoes. Police were unable to locate the suspect.
