The Holland Hill School PTA raised $840 for its summer reading program through a promotion with World Champion Tae Kwon Do at the Sportsplex.

The martial arts studio offered Holland Hill students a six-week tae kwon do program for the discounted price of $60, but donated its services so all revenues went directly to the PTA, the PTA said.

The Mill Plain Road studio's

director, Master K.J., deserves

recognition for his generosity, the

PTA said.

Fourteen students took the course, which ended with a belt-test and award ceremony Feb. 17.
