"Madrigals for a Merry Month," a concert of madrigals from across the centuries performed by a select vocal ensemble, will be presented at the Pequot Library on Friday, May 2.

The 8 p.m. concert will include chansons from the medieval troubadours, merry madrigals from the English and Italian Renaissance, and more recent songs from the U.S. and the United Kingdom.

The concert at the library, 720 Pequot Ave. in Southport, is presented by Music on the Hill, a nonprofit group in Weston that offers music workshops, concerts, and opportunities for performance through a community handbell choir and three choral groups.

Tickets may be reserved in advance at tickets@musiconthehillct.org and are $20 at the door. For more information, email ellen@musiconthehillct.org or call 203-536-2601.
