Metro-North Railroad, continuing to grapple with power problems that disrupted this morning's commute, has been forced to cancel two home-bound trains this afternoon.

Citing Con Edison power problems in the Park Avenue Tunnel leading from Grand Central Terminal, Metro-North said it has cancelled the 5:36 p.m. and the 5:44 p.m. eastbound trains Grand Central.

It is advising passengers on the 5:36 train to catch the 5:38 p.m. train, and riders on the 5:44 train to use the 5:48 p.m. train.

There was no immediate indication if any other service problems are anticipated tonight or tomorrow by the New York power problems.
