Monica Kirmayer and Robert LaMura were married Oct. 24 at St. Pius X Church in Fairfield. The Rev. Samuel Kachuba, pastor of St. Pius X, performed the ceremony.

The bride, 34, is the daughter of John and Patricia Kirmayer of Fairfield. She is a marketing manager for the United States Tennis Association, specializing in youth engagement and activity through sport. She received a B.A. in business administration from Loyola University in Baltimore, Md., and an M.S. in strategic communication from Columbia University in New York.

The groom, also 34, is the son of Robert and Marybeth LaMura of Shrewsbury, N.J. He is a vice president in e-commerce at BGC Partners, a global financial services company, originally formed as a part of the Cantor Fitzgerald organization. He received a B.A. in business administration from St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, Pa.

The maid of honor was Gina Vitulano Szefc, a Fairfield childhood friend. Bridesmaids included Kathleen Greer, Mary O'Connor Del Priore, Jennifer Houston, Moira Lewis Pileggi, Elizabeth Jones and Joanna Lee, all childhood friends; Christina Chao, sister-in-law of the bride, and Veronica LaMura Allora, sister of the groom.

The best man was Matthew LaMura, brother of the groom. Groomsmen included Neil Kirmayer and Todd Kirmayer, brothers of the bride; Christopher Allora, brother-in-law of the groom, and Joshua Maletto and Karl Smith, childhood friends of the groom.

The bride’s father retired from American Airlines as an international Boeing 777 captain. Her mother is the owner and principal of P.M. Kirmayer Qualitative Market Research, which specializes in ethnography. The groom’s father is manager of maritime industry relations for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey. His mother teaches geometry at Red Bank Catholic High School in Shrewsbury, N.J.

The couple’s wedding reception took place at the Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield, and they now live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan.
