Mortgage officer named for new bank branch

Darien Rowayton Bank has appointed a senior mortgage banker for its new branch in Southport.
Michael J. Lockavitch was named to the position with DRB Mortgage, the bank's home-lending division.
Lockavitch has 20 years experience in the mortgage industry. He is based in the Southport branch and is an affiliate member of the Greater Fairfield Board of Realtors. He lives in Shelton with his wife and two children.
With six employees, the branch opened at 3695 Post Road in May to serve the Fairfield area. The building formerly housed a branch of Patriot Bank.
Darien Rowayton Bank is a privately owned, state-chartered community bank that provides retail and business banking services and financial products. Its DRB Mortgage division offers a variety of mortgage and refinancing products.
The bank also has branches in Darien and in Norwalk.
