Curtis Cocco, 42, was charged on a warrant Saturday with driving under the influence.
Cocco was driving his motorcycle around 7 p.m. Oct. 20 on the Post Road when the rear wheel slid out, causing the motorcyle to leave the travel lane and Cocco fell off the motorcycle, police said.
He was taken to St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport for treatment of his injuries.
Police said Cocco, who lives on Rodgers Road, told them he had been at a Sanford Street bar drinking beer prior to the accident.
He was was released on a $500 bond and is scheduled to appear Dec. 3 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
