Ms. Senior Connecticut to present 'Musical Valentine'

Ruth Harcovitz, a singer and Ms. Senior Connecticut 2013 will be presenting A Musical Valentine, featuring music in many styles dear to the hearts of seniors, on Thursday, Feb. 13 at the Fairfield Senior Center. The free concert will take place at 12:30 p.m. and lunch will be served.

Harcovitz, a classically-trained soprano, recently returned from Atlantic City, where her talent presentation singing the Strauss waltz, "The Voices of Spring," won her a position as a top 10 finalist in the Senior America Pageant. She was crowned Ms. Senior Connecticut in April.

Lunch will be served before the concert at 11:30 a.m. for $2 and will be catered by the Falcon's Nest Restaurant and Catering at Fairfield Ludlowe High School.

Reservations for the concert and the lunch are required and can be made by calling 203-256-3166. A snow date has been set for Thursday, Feb. 20. Bus transportation to the Senior Center, 100 Mona Terrace, is available for Fairfield seniors and adults with a disability by calling 203-256-3168.
