NY Times tech writer Pogue at Pequot Library

New York Times tech reviewer David Pogue will speak on "Disruptive Tech: What's New, What's Coming, and How It Will Change Everything" at 4 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 23, at the Pequot Library, 720 Pequot Ave. The talk will be held as part of the library's Meet the Author Series.
Pogue, a Westport resident, will predict which new electronic devices for personal entertainment, cell phones, and Internet, will have the most impact on society in the coming years.
Pogue, who writes the Times' weekly tech column and a monthly column for Scientific American, also appears often on CNBC and CBS Sunday Morning and hosted a NOVA miniseries on PBS called "Making Stuff." He has also written or co-written several "For Dummies" books and his own computer books called the Missing Manual series.
He graduated summa cum laude from Yale University in 1985, with distinction in music and spent 10 years conducting and arranging Broadway musicals.
