National Merit program commends Fairfield Prep students

Three seniors attending Fairfield College Preparatory School have been commended by the National Merit Scholarship Program for their performance on the PSAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test.

The students, who took the test their junior year, include Matthew T. Kiernan, Evan C. Field, Austin M. Trotta and Christopher T. Conway, all of Fairfield, according to a release from the school.

More than 1 million students from across the nation entered the competition by taking the test, and the Prep students were chosen based on their performance among test takers in Connecticut, the release states.
