The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce is seeking nonprofit associations and organizations to participate in a "Santa's Arrival" event Saturday, Nov. 24, on the Sherman Green.

Santa is expected to arrive on a hook-and-ladder fire engine at 10 a.m. and is slated to leave by 2:30 to 3 p.m., according to a release.

There will also be horse and buggy rides, a petting zoo and food cooked by the Kiwanis Club.

Individuals or organizations willing to give the proceeds from what it sells during the event to a charity of its choice may participate in the event, the release states.

The chamber will assign space within a 10-foot by 10-foot area, and participants are expected to bring their own tables, tents, volunteers and signage and be set up by 9:30 a.m.

Items to be sold must be discussed with the chamber office before the event.

There is no fee to participate, and all nonprofits are welcome. Call the chamber at 203-255-1011 as space is limited.
