DARIEN — A 22-year-old Norwalk woman was charged on several counts of failing to appear after Darien police discovered warrants for her arrest during a traffic stop.
On Sept. 30 around 5 p.m., an officer on patrol pulled over a car on the Post Road because it didn’t have a front license plate. The officer investigated and found Shamara Reid, of Westport Avenue, who was a passenger in the car, was wanted for failing to appear for several infractions.
Reid was wanted by Fairfield Police for driving while her driving privileges were suspended, driving without a license, possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana and failing to respond to the latter charge. She was also wanted by New Canaan police for possession of less than a half ounce of marijuana and failing to respond to that charge and by Norwalk Police for littering and failing to respond.
Reid was placed under arrest for failing to appear and served the warrants at Darien police headquarters. She couldn’t make the $1,650 bond and was brought to court on Oct. 2.
