A Bridgeport teenager is facing charges after fight in a hallway at Notre Dame High School on Thursday morning .

Police said the student, a junior who was not identified because of his age, got into a fight with a freshman classmate who he apparently suspected of stealing items from lockers during an October football game.

During the altercation, a girl who said she was trying to walk past the dispute said someone grabbed her hair, causing her to fall and hit her head.

The junior was charged with disorderly conduct and second-degree reckless endangerment. He was released to a parent's custody and given a court date of Jan. 1.
