Operation Hope, a men's homeless shelter in downtown Fairfield, will soon accept donations for its upcoming 23rd annual tag sale at First Church Congregational, 148 Beach Road.

Furniture, household goods, costume jewelry, pictures/paintings, linens, gaming systems and outdoor and sporting goods will be accepted at the church from 9 a.m. to noon and 5 to 8 p.m. Monday, July 30, through Thursday, Aug. 2. The shelter cannot not pick up furniture nor can it accept bedding, televisions, computers, monitors, clothing, shoes or books.

The rain-or-shine tag sale, set for 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, and noon to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5, will include furniture, household goods, jewelry, pictures, paintings, linens, gaming systems, toys, outdoor goods and sports equipment. There will also be a concession stand hosted by the Fairfield Rotary and a raffle.
