Panty thief strikes Victoria's Secret store again

For the third consecutive month, hundreds of dollars worth of panties have been stolen by a shoplifter from Victoria's Secret, 1499 Post Road.

The theft was reported around 4 p.m. Saturday, police said, by an employee who told police that she after stepping to the back of the store, when she returned a few minutes later, $870 worth of underwear was missing from a table.

She said she did not notice anything unusual prior to the theft, but said a man wearing a red t-shirt walked into the store just before she went to the back of the store.

In the earlier incidents, 65 pairs of panties valued at $650 were reported stolen on June 7, while on May 17, $600 worth of merchandise was swiped.
