The Pequot Library in the Southport section of town has decided to close early today because of the snow storm.

The library at midday, however, still planned to host several special programs on Saturday and Sunday.

The "Knights Tale" at 2 p.m. Saturday is a presentation of the Higgins Armory Museum in Worcester, Mass. Library officials say the group decides to not to travel to Fairfield on Saturday, a cancellation will be announced.

From 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday, the Pequot plans the second half of Guy Sherman's two-part exhibit. This part of the show is titled "DRY" photographs.

And Sunday, when the weather is expected to be clear, the library expects to host a theatrical program about Mark Twain at 2 p.m.. Ashton Crosby has performed versions of this production in places like Lincoln Center and the Morgan Library.
