Pequot Library plans its annual Fourth of July parade at 10 a.m. Monday at the Five Corners in Southport Village.

In past years, several hundred families participate with decorated bikes, scooters and wagons. Led by a Fairfield police motorcycle escort, the procession will go to the library's Great Lawn, where activities will include traditional sack races, a hula hoop contest, an American Revolution trivia contest and face painting.

There will also be hot dogs and beverages.

Call the library at 203-259-0346 for information.
