The Pequot Library is issuing a call for entries for its 16th annual art show, "Living with Art: Creating Conversations." The community-wide art show has been a popular event in Fairfield County and a major fundraiser for the library. The deadline for entry registration forms for the show is Tuesday, Oct. 1. The art show will be from Oct. 18 to 20.
This year's theme, "Living with Art: Creating Conversations," will show how art stirs emotion in others and ultimately stimulates dialogue between individuals and their community, according to the library's call for entries. Painting, photography, works on paper, collage, and sculpture are all welcome. The show is juried for best in show and honorable mention. Best in show receives a 2014 solo exhibition in the Perkin Gallery.
