Planet Pizza has expanded its galaxy with the recent opening of a Fairfield outlet on the former site of a truck-rental business on the Post Road near the traffic circle.
Michael, Joseph and Frank Rocco, brothers who co-own the franchise, recently completed construction on the building that houses 2,000-square-foot restaurant about 16 months after buying the property at 733 Post Road, former site of Budget Truck Rental.
The latest Planet Pizza restaurant, which has about 60 seats, 23 parking spaces and 24 employees, offers the pizza restaurant chain's menu of pizzas, wraps, entrees, salads and platters, as well as its catering menu.
The chain, founded in 1991, also has outlets in Westport, Danbury, Darien, Greenwich, Norwalk, Ridgefield, Shelton, Stamford and New York towns Rye and White Plains.
Planet Pizza locations are "open late 7 days" a week, according to its website. Call the Fairfield restaurant at 203-254-3000 or visit www.planetpizza.com for information.
