FAIRFIELD — A town resident allegedly fought and assaulted two family members on Christmas Eve.
Police said Colin Ventura was fighting with two men in his family when officers arrived Saturday evening at an Alvin Street home. The 20-year-old had allegedly bitten one man, who had redness and swelling from the injury.
Two protective orders prohibited Ventura from threatening, harassing, assaulting or stalking the men, issued after a July arrest relating from a domestic dispute, according to police. Police had also been called to the same residence the day before the alleged assault due to a verbal dispute between Ventura and one of the men.
Ventura struggled when officers tried to detain him Dec. 24, police said. He was arrested and charged with third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and two counts of violating a protective order.
The resident of Alvin Street in Fairfield was held on a $35,000 bond ahead of a Dec. 27 court date.
