FAIRFIELD — Southbury resident Connor Sullivan, 19, a guest at Fairfield University’s President’s Ball Friday night, made quite an impression.

According to police, Sullivan climbed about 30 feet up a tent pole in the middle of the dance floor before sliding back to the ground. Police officers started to escort him to campus security when they said he pulled away from the officers and tried to run away.

Sullivan, who lives on Stoney Corners, was charged with interfering with an officer and released on a promise to appear in state Superior Court in Bridgeport Oct. 6. Sullivan, who police said is not a student at the college, was warned not to return to the Fairfield University campus.
