The Fairfield Ludlowe wrestling team won one match at the Staples Dual meets on Saturday at Staples High School.

The Falcons' 103-pounder Ben Batulanon won five matches, including three pins and a technical fall. Ludlowe's captain and 119-pounder Henry Wales returned to the lineup and went 2-1 for Ludlowe. Kyle DeCruccio also went 2-1 for the Falcons.

The Falcons fell to Jonathan Law 54-18, Guilford 54-22, Staples 45-27 and Fairfield Prep 39-36.

The Falcons lone victory came over Norwalk, 45-32. Ludlowe lost a tight match to town-rival Prep, 39-36. In the match with the Jesuits, Ludlowe and Prep each scored five pins, however, Prep won a match via forfeit at 145-pounts which ended up being the difference in the match.

Ludlowe is scheduled to wrestle again today against Bunnell, the Falcons wrestled at New Canaan in a match

completed too late for press time.
