Two expensive purses were reported stolen from cars Monday.
A woman said her Louis Vuitton purse, worth $3,800, was taken from her Cadillac Escalade while it was parked at Lake Mohegan just before noon. A window on the SUV had been left open, according to the report.
A Chappaqua, N.Y., man called police around 2 p.m. to report that his wife’s Logan purse, valued at $4,000 and containing a Hermes wallet worth $1,100, was taken from their car while it was parked at the Par 3 golf course on Old Dam Road. A window was smashed to gain entry.
